What's your opinion on people putting condiments on food you've made before tasting it?

This is a most serious issue people. If you could see my aura at the instant I spy someone putting any kind of condiment on my food before they've tasted it (salad dressings could be excluded from this situation), you'll notice it's a very dark and muddy red.

What say you? (and don't be mean, this is my first question). :)

Some people have no sense of taste. Others just have no sense.

  • It amazes me how some people pour salt on everything on their plate before tasting it. Anxious for a heart attack, I suppose.

NaturallyMe Perhaps...although i find it difficult to be insulted by someone who would pull such a tasteless condiment stunt. Hmph.

  • Cook me up a most excellent meal and I promise I won't put anything on it.

Oh yeah, and fetch me a beer too.

MrsDK FLUGG, if you did put anything on that food before tasting it, I'd just have to shake your beer before letting you open it. I don't get mad; I don't get even. I get odd.

  • I've never understood how people can do that. So often in restaurants I see a person upend the salt shaker over the plate before even tasting. Truly, it makes me shudder. Ruin a perfectly good meal for no reason. Ugh.

  • Henry Ford said he would never hire a man who salted and peppered his food before tasting it. That's fine by me as I don't like working for pupu heads.
